NEW HOPE FOR PAIN SUFFERERS – FDA-APPROVED TREATMENT HELPS
REDUCE PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH ACUTE AND CHRONIC PAIN

Denver, COLORADO – Often called the “technology of the future,” light carries many uses – from fiber optics carrying data over the “information super highway” to medical practitioners using lasers (coherent light) in surgery. With more than 80 million people in the United States alone suffering from one form or another of pain, one company has created the technology to treat both acute and chronic pain through the use of photo-stimulation.

This FDA-approved treatment, developed by Light Force Therapy, helps ease the pain associated with a number of conditions including arthritis; muscle and joint pain; muscle spasm, stiffness and soreness. In December 2002, the FDA further cleared Light Force Therapy products for use in helping to temporarily increase blood circulation where applied.

Light-Force-Therapy has developed three products, the Super Nova, AcuBeam and Dio, around photo-stimulation. This process uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to produce beams of light at specific wavelengths and frequencies – helping to relieve acute or chronic pain associated with disease or injury. Scientific studies have shown that the correct representation of wavelengths and frequencies can:

* Facilitate pain reduction
* Improve mobility (range of motion)
* Relax muscles

This type of photo-stimulation or LFT therapy, helps combat a number of conditions including arthritis, tennis elbow, back, hip and joint pain or discomfort, tendonitis, fibromyalgia, among others.

“Our goal was to provide people with additional options to traditional medicine and healing protocols – specifically with regard to overcoming sharp or chronic pain,” commented Kim Peterson, President of Light-Force-Therapy. “LFT therapy does this by increasing circulation and blood flow to the affected area, thereby decreasing inflammation and increasing range of motion. This is a great option for people that don’t want to take pills or have tried ineffective therapies in the past.”

LFT therapy helps deliver therapeutic benefits to living tissues. Studies show that as light is absorbed by the skin and underlying tissues, this triggers biological changes within the body called photo-biomodulation. This boils down to monochromatic light being able to speed up certain cellular metabolic processes which in turn increases oxygen and blood flow, stimulates nerve function, decreases inflammation, increases mobility and facilitates pain reduction and muscle relaxation. Research has shown that all of this is accomplished without the assistance of drugs or invasive surgery.

Thousands of people and practitioners worldwide, including physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, wellness centers, among others, have benefited from the uses of photo-stimulation. LFT therapy is non-invasive and has no known harmful side effects.

FDA-Approved Light-Force-Therapy Products

Super Nova

* The most powerful device on the market, the Super Nova delivers rapid pain relief to multiple parts of the body – has 195 light emitting diodes and a treatment area of 64 square inches.
* Has six user-controlled frequency settings in addition to six target sweep settings that cycle through a short range of frequencies as well as cycle through all frequencies – this is important as individual users may receive maximum benefit from varying frequencies.

AcuBeam

* Has 48 light emitting diodes and a treatment area of 20 square inches.
* Has the same representation of wavelengths and frequencies as the Super Nova. The device also has six user-controlled frequency settings plus a sweep setting that cycles through all frequencies.

Dio

* Portable, lightweight unit that contains 24 light emitting diodes.
* Designed for easy travel, the Dio provides pain relief to isolated areas of the body with a treatment area of four square inches.
* Built-in rechargeable battery provides over two hours of continuous use.
* The Dio has three specific user-control frequency settings.

Available accessories include: strap kit including accessory handle and elastic straps for hands-free treatments, internal or external replacement batteries, car adaptor cord, protective storage bag

About Light-Force-Therapy
Founded in 1998, Light-Force-Therapy was built on the premise of making a difference in people’s lives. Using the tools of passion, education and innovation the company’s cornerstone technology uses photo-stimulation to enhance quality of life for people suffering with pain. Photo-stimulation, a process that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to produce beams of light at specific wavelengths and frequencies, helps to safely relieve acute or chronic pain associated with disease or injury. All Light-Force-Therapy products, including the Super Nova, AcuBeam and Dio, are FDA-approved for treating pain and come with a one-year return policy and manufacturer’s warranty.
