Juice Energy joins forces with Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army - Rochester Area Services will soon be taking a more sophisticated approach to managing their electricity costs as a result of a new deal with Troy & Banks and Juice Energy. The 12-month contract, which goes into effect May 1st, will cover all of the electrical needs of the Rochester extension of the historic Salvation Army.

Based in New York, Juice Energy is dramatically changing the way businesses buy electricity. With methods that more closely resemble a sophisticated financial advisor than a traditional utility company, Juice is able to deliver significant savings and better risk management to their clients.

As the cost of electricity continues to rise, many companies are turning to Juice and their unique methodologies to help manage this exposure. The Rochester Salvation Army expects to lower their annual electricity costs significantly while avoiding exposure to volatile and rising electricity prices.

Major Charles J. Deitrick, Executive Director for The Salvation Army – Rochester Area Services, believes the new partnership with Juice will not only help the organization, but also the people that rely on it for assistance: “Obviously it’s terrific anytime we can lower our costs without  cutting back on services. With the assistance of Juice Energy we will be able to continue to provide relief and aid to those who need it in the Rochester community.”

Established in 1865 with the mission to provide disaster relief and social services to the communities they serve, The Salvation Army has built a storied history of helping those in need.

“With every new client comes a sense of satisfaction from knowing that we’re going to help make their business run more smoothly,” said Juice Co-Founder and President Bryan Hayduk. “But in this case, we’re working with an organization that has helped countless millions during difficult times. Needless to say we’re thrilled that we can offer some assistance.”

About the Salvation Army:

In 1865, William Booth, an ordained Methodist minister, and his wife, Catherine, formed an evangelical group dedicated to preaching among the “unchurched” people living in the midst of appalling poverty in London’s East End. Over 100 years later, their efforts have spawned to provide aid and assistance in over 100 countries. The basic social services developed by Booth remain an outward visible expression of the Army’s strong religious principles. In addition, new programs are constantly developed to address contemporary needs such as disaster relief, day car centers, AIDS education, vocational training, and family and career counseling. More than 30 million people receive aid each and every year through The Salvation Army.
