H&M Expands its Queens Center Store 4,000 Square Feet to Open a
New Department Just For Children

Queens, NY, March 1, 2002 – H&M, the leading European fashion retailer that markets its own brand of clothing with a team of 80 in-house designers, expands their store at Queens Center to include children’s fashion. On Friday, March 1, H&M will open a new 4,000 square foot children’s department in their store located on the Concourse Level at the Queens Center mall (90-15 Queens Boulevard, Elmhurst, NY). With the addition of the new children’s department, H&M’s Queens Center store, which offers fashion and quality at the best price to women, men, teens and now children, expands to 15,500 square feet.

H&M receives daily deliveries of new fashion styles and sells more than 400 million garments a year. The new children’s department will feature H&M’s fashion concepts for newborns through 14 year-olds.

“Our children’s department provides parents with the perfect opportunity to dress their kids fashionably without breaking the bank,” explained Karen Belva, pubic relations manager, H&M. “We place a great emphasis on quality with our children’s fashion and as a result our collections for children deliver what parents care about the most — quality, style and best price.”
