H&M BRINGS ITS QUALITY, AFFORDABLE FASHIONS
TO NEW YORK CITY’S FASHION AVENUE
H&M Opens Its Fifth Store in New York City on Seventh Avenue

NEW YORK – H&M, Europe’s leading fashion retailer, is opening its fifth Manhattan location at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue on Friday, November 1, 2002. The new three-level, 33,600 square foot store will feature clothing and accessories for women, men, teens and children as well as maternity wear, plus-sizes and lingerie.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new store when the doors officially open at noon, the first 100 shoppers in line will receive an exclusive H&M NYC t-shirt as well as a coupon for 20% off an entire purchase. The new store’s hours will be Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

“We are very excited to offer our customers another H&M in New York City, the fashion capital of the world,” said Karen Belva, public relations manager at H&M. “Now our shoppers can enjoy five H&M stores in this market, and have increased access to fashion and quality at the best price.”

H&M first entered the U.S. market in 2000 with the opening of its flagship store on Fifth Avenue and 51st Street.
