NOWHERE IN DC IS THE RETURN OF THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS
MORE TREASURED THAN AT THE HAY-ADAMS

The Hay-Adams Offers Special Room Rates During the National Cherry Blossom Festival

Washington, D.C. – There is no better way to enjoy the annual arrival of the cherry blossoms in our nation’s capital than with a memorable stay at The Hay-Adams. While the National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates Tokyo’s 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees to Washington D.C., The Hay-Adams acknowledges this time-honored tradition with some truly special offers at the hotel Where Nothing is Overlooked but The White House.

From March 18th through April 10th, The Hay-Adams is offering a special rate starting at $299, with a two night minimum stay, in its luxuriously appointed guest rooms to celebrate the return of the cherry blossoms, the coming of spring and the continued friendship between the United States and Japan. Guests have a choice of accommodation types including the coveted one-bedroom Federal Suite with its commanding views of the White House, Lafayette Park and St. John’s Church; the handsome one-bedroom Junior Suites, which can be connected to a second bedroom for guests who need additional space, and the elegantly-furnished deluxe rooms. Each guest room offers a breathtaking view of The White House, Lafayette Park or St. John’s Church. The package also includes complementary overnight parking, a Cherry Blossom Festival information package and a special amenity of chocolate covered cherries.

“There isn’t anything quite as special as staying across the street from The White House during one of our county’s landmark occasions,” explained Hans Bruland, General Manager of The Hay-Adams. “We’ve put together a package offering our guests an unforgettable cross-cultural experience.”

The Hay-Adams further participates in this cross-cultural event with its traditional Sake Dinner, which will take place on Friday, April 8. In a mingling of East and West, Executive Chef Peter Schaffrath will prepare a spectacular five-course Asian influenced dinner paired with five different premium Japanese sake served cold to complement each dish. Now in its sixth year, the Sake Dinner has become a Hay-Adams tradition and will be served in the stately and elegant setting of The Lafayette, Washington, D.C.’s destination for power dining. Dinner tickets are $125 per person, subject to applicable taxes and gratuities.
