FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Amy Koeppl
NEW YORK (March 23, 2009) – New York-based brand-building agency DiMassimo Goldstein (DIGO) has launched an integrated campaign for accounting and consulting firm, J.H. Cohn LLP, one of the top 20 accounting and consulting firms in the United States. The new campaign, “The Experience to Face the Unprecedented,” speaks directly to the struggles that organizations are experiencing due to the current economic environment. “For more than 90 years, we have guided our clients through the best and worst of times.” said Charles G.Ludmer, J.H. Cohn’s principal-in-charge of marketing., “The campaign was created to emphasize how our cumulative years of experience provide a meaningful prospective as we apply our technical skills to help clients meet the challenges in these unprecedented times.” The campaign features Joe Torre, manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who has served as the corporate spokesperson for J.H. Cohn for four years. Mark DiMassimo, CEO of DIGO, said that capturing the right facial expressions was critical to relaying the Firm’s message. “Joe’s expression shows the solid confidence that comes from knowing your stuff. His eyes engage the viewer, in an honest, caring way,” he explained. “At the same time, we’re talking business, and we show Joe in the dugout, his work place. The headlines talk about important issues like teamwork, experience, and staying calm in the face of turmoil, all important whether you’re running a business or managing a baseball team” The use of black and white photography was important to keep the focus on Joe, particularly on his eyes, noted DiMassimo. Photography is by Timothy White, well known for his celebrity portraits. “We chose to work with Timothy,” he explained, “because he knows how to capture the essence of a personality – and do it in black and white.” The campaign, with a $5 million - $8 million cumulative spend, includes print, radio, outdoor, and digital advertising for both the corporate brand and individual industries it serves. Print ads begin running in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other business publications in March 2009. The radio spots will begin airing on Bloomberg radio in September 2009. Ludmer added, “This is a campaign that’s right for our current times. Today’s CFOs and CEOs are faced with a challenged economy and J.H. Cohn has both the expertise and experience to help clients not only manage through them, but to come out stronger than before.” About J.H. Cohn LLP
