NEW YORK CITY MARKETING VETERANS JOIN FORCES IN LAUNCHING THE CollegeClickTV.com Provides Students and Parents with a 360-Degree Perspective NEW YORK (December 1, 2008) – Entertainment advertising veteran Glenn Pere has spent the last 18 months using the resources of his New York City advertising agency to launch an online college resource—CollegeClickTV.com—geared toward helping high school students and their parents make informed decisions about colleges. The site is designed as an informational resource and is packed with 30,000 authentic and unscripted peer-to-peer videos from students, teachers and local merchants at over 200 college campuses across the country. CollegeClickTV.com was sparked by the realization of how difficult, expensive and time consuming the college search process is, characterized by a lack of a student perspective and central go-to hub for information, and by expensive application fees and cross-country campus visits. After bringing his vision to life, Pere called his good friend, PR guru Eric Yaverbaum, whom he has worked with successfully for years, and who just so happens to be in the site’s target demographic, with a daughter who is a high school junior and currently looking at colleges. While Founder and CEO Pere was thrilled with the site's concept and progress, they were both eager for Yaverbaum to join as CollegeClickTV.com's President, and to test the site's benefits in real time. CollegeClickTV.com now boasts partnerships with the most well-known experts in the college/education category—U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and CliffsNotes—companies that wisely recognized that in order to be truly in tune with the YouTube generation, they needed a targeted voice. “These partnerships help attract our partners’ more than 4 million unique users per month to our site and also validate the concept of CollegeClickTV.com, which is to provide students and their parents with a well-rounded outlook on each college,” says Pere. Yaverbaum adds, “Since I was about to start the college search process with my daughter, I felt an immediate personal need for a parent- and teen-friendly resource that would provide a 360-degree perspective of what her four years might look like.” CollegeClickTV.com maintains the largest online video library of exclusively produced college reviews. The free, one-stop resource features more than 1,000 hours of video from over 200 colleges and universities across the country. By early 2009, up to 400 colleges are expected to be featured on the site. Yaverbaum says, “In this economy, being able to ‘visit’ colleges without having to leave the house is vital. We hope the different perspectives—from personal accounts of choosing a college to deeper dives into various course offerings and details that only people on a given campus would be familiar with—will provide unique insights to teenagers and parents alike.” For more information on CollegeClickTV, please visit www.collegeclicktv.com.
