FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: Kelly Duque AS THE SEASONS CHANGE, SO SHOULD YOUR BEAUTY PRODUCTS: Tampa, Fla.—June 30, 2008—Season-appropriate makeup and beauty products are a must for anyone determined to look their best throughout the year. For many, the summer brings a variety of changes, including darkened skin tones and lighter hair colors. Each season it’s important to evaluate your cosmetics on hand to ensure you’re properly prepared to look great and protect yourself from Mother Nature’s elements. Tara Runkle, co-founder of Best in Beauty, brings the following beauty tips to help perfect your look during the 2008 summer season.
It’s common for skin tone and hair color to change during the summer season. Be sure your skin tone and hair color don’t end up a perfect color match. Color contrasts between your hair and skin will make your best features pop and will keep your look sexy and dramatic. Talk to a stylist you trust about a color touch-up that will work best for you during the summer months. Summer-time is full of tanning, from the fabulous to the farmer's. Do you have a farmer’s tan that needs fixin’? Exfoliate the darker portions of your skin using a granulated cleanser or sea salt scrub. This removes dead skin cells and helps speed up the fading process. Use a quality moisturizer on the lighter skin areas. Then, naturally correct the tan lines by spending time in the sun using a stronger sunscreen (SPF 30) on the dark portions of your skin and a milder sunscreen (SPF 15) on the lighter sections. With the onset of summer many are out to improve their bikini bodies and enhance their overall look. Updating your hairstyle is an easy way to spice up your appearance. If your stylist can cut your hair blindfolded, or if you find yourself constantly throwing your hair up into a ponytail, it’s definitely time for a new do. Discuss style options with your hair dresser and give yourself a new do to die for. Best in Beauty is a new beauty product sampling program recently launched in Tampa, Florida, by Focus Inc, a Tampa-based direct marketing agency. Best in Beauty offers consumers a chance to try high-performance beauty products before they buy them, while simultaneously helping superior boutique cosmetic distributors build brand awareness. “We believe that boutique products are sometimes far superior to products offered by bigger name brands, but the smaller-brands don’t always have the resources to survive in such a competitive industry,” says Tara Runkle, co-founder of Best in Beauty. “Our program gets consumers the product quality they demand and provides an affordable way for the little guy to build its brand.” Best in Beauty is currently offered in Tampa, Florida, through participating salons and spas, but the program will expand to additional cities throughout the state in the coming months. Within a year’s time Best in Beauty plans to support 12 full product lines, and provide their product samples to consumers nationwide.
